Fan's theory was true

Five years ago, a Twitter user referred to Paul by writing that every time the singer performed "Sean de Paul," he couldn't help but think of West Indian batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

It has since been established that this theory is true. Sean Paul acknowledged this in an analysis of his song "Get Busy," saying Vice that Chanderpaul, a former cricketer born in Guyana, was the name he was using.
