Meghan Markle Reportedly Signs Deal With Disney After Royal Split

Before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they will no longer be senior members of the royal family, Meghan Markle reportedly signed a deal with Disney to voice a character in an upcoming film.

The Times reports that Meghan will do a voiceover for an unspecified Disney project in exchange for the company making a donation to Elephants Without Borders.

According to the publication, the voiceover was recorded before Prince Harry, Meghan and Archie headed to Vancouver Island for their six-week break.

After the birth of their son Archie, Disney created a Winnie-the-Pooh short to celebrate his birth, much as they have done for other royal milestones.

The charity which is to receive a “substantial donation” is one that is important to the Duke of Sussex, as he has spent a considerable amount of time in Africa working on conservation projects.

Harry and Meghan also attended “The Lion King” premiere in London in May 2019 where the two met with the cast as well as representatives from African Parks, a conservation organisation which Prince Harry is patron of.
