Hi CultJam, thanks for having a chat with us, your new single is called 'What Love Can Do'. Tell us a little more about this track?!
This track is a sexy funky track that talks about the thrills of love and sex.
Your upcoming album is called 'CultJam Love' what is the album representing to you?
The CultJam Love album comes at a time when I felt we needed to show love. We need to show love for each other and everyone and everything around us.
How did you guys meet your new lead singer Mystina Sol?
Alex (Spanador) sent Mystina our way due to mutual friends in the business and working together. We took a listen to her and we loved what she was saying and loved how she presented it.
Mystina, what has it been like to step into this legendary group? (question for Mystina)
I'm still processing because I'm so used to working as a performer and artist, and when someone as legendary as these guys says 'hey, we love what you're doing' its like... do I pinch myself now or later?"
Are you guys planning an upcoming tour?
We are gigging musicians playing and performing touring. That's what we're building on. We’ve always loved doing that since way back and that's something I can't imagine not doing and over the years. It ate at me and I needed to do this so badly. So, I'm glad that I have the opportunity to do it again.
Is there a particular city you are looking forward to performing in?
I can't wait to hit every city. New York City is of course where I'm from so it's going to be exciting to play for our people, our peeps but every city. I can't wait to hit them all again.
If you could give any advice to your younger self knowing what you know now, what would it be?
I guess mostly would I say to my young self, take more pictures and keep all the contacts you've made over those years. I mean really taking those people that you've met and those relationships that you build.
For fans of yours who may have just discovered your music and are interested in learning about you, what would you want them to know?
What I want people to know about me is I built this band way back in the day because of a love for music. I love making music here and performing music and to this day that love is still there. It drives me. It moves me. Music makes me.
