Weeks after releasing Jesus Is King, Kanye West is already back in the studio working on new music. Yeezy took to Twitter on Monday (Nov. 18) to announce a Jesus Is King sequel in the works with none other than the legendary Dr Dre.
"Ye and Dre Jesus is King Part II coming soon," West wrote with a photo of the dynamic duo in the studio. Dre also reposted the pic with the exact caption to his Instagram.
Speaking with Joel Osteen at the Lakewood Church on Sunday morning, West did say that he has plans to release new music "every month." Now, Kanye has made a habit of making grand plans for music projects that never come to fruition, as has Dr. Dre in the past, so take the announcement with a grain of salt.
During his interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe surrounding JIK, West stated that he was working on another gospel album titled Jesus Is Born, which he expects to release on Christmas Day (Dec. 25) this year.
