Juelz Santana is officially an inmate in the federal system after checking in to begin his 2-year prison sentence.
According to official records, Santana is registered to Petersburg Medium FCI, which is a medium security federal correctional institution located in Hopewell, Virginia.
The rapper should be released around 2021 but the records list his release date as “unknown” for now.
As The Blast first reported, Juelz was able to push back his surrender date from January 30, 2019 to February 28, 2019 after he asked the judge to allow him time to film a ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ reunion in Georgia.
Last year, Juelz was indicted on two federal firearms charges related to bringing a .38-caliber Derringer to Newark Liberty International airport back in March.
He was released on $500,000 bond with an ankle monitor and ordered to house arrest at his mother’s New Jersey home.
While out on bond, the judge approved Santana traveling outside New Jersey to tour for performances and to tape “Love & Hip Hop in New York.
