Today is singer Mýa Marie Harrison’s 41st birthday. Looking at her, you wouldn’t think she was that age considering she looks exactly like she did when she dropped her first single, 'It’s All About Me' in 1998.
Mýa started her career as a hip-hop dancer on BET’s Teen Summit. By the time she was 19 years old, she had a hit record with musical artist Sisqó called 'It’s All About Me.'
Hit singles like 'Ghetto Supastar (That Is What You Are)' and 'Take Me There' continue to raise her profile and attained chart success worldwide, with the former garnering her first Grammy nomination.
Fear of Flying, her sophomore album, was released in April 2000 and became a worldwide success, boosted by the success of its singles 'Case of the Ex' and 'Free.'
She even went on to win a Grammy Award with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and P!nk for their collaboration on the remake of 'Lady Marmalade' from the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack.
Mýa released her latest album “T.K.O. (The Knock Out)” in 2018. The singer had already previously released videos for the singles 'Down', 'You Got Me', 'Damage' and 'With You'.
Check out also her latest singles released in 2020 like 'The Truth and 'Space and Time', her longevity speaks volumes about her incredible talent.
Mýa is a triple threat. She can sing, dance, and act, but some people forget the last part. While she doesn't focus her career on the big screen, she's made a few cameos in big and small screen pictures. Check it out below.
